ODIN Slicing Program
ODIN is the work of Filament Innovations and Create It Real to develop a slicer for large-scale and high-flow Filament (FDM) and Pellet (FGF) 3D Printers. Filament Innovations has been working with Dyze Design since 2015, the manufacturer of the high-flow Typhoon extruder and the Pulsar pellet extruder. Our goal is simple, create an easy to use slicer for all Filament Innovations' customers to enjoy that focuses on these two extrusion methods.
ODIN is only available to Filament Innovations customers. Potential customers who are curious about it, can also download it, however slicing and proprietary settings are disabled without a valid activation key. The latest version of ODIN is available on our Releases page.
Pellet Advantages
Pellet 3D Printing is difficult in standard filament slicers as they are not designed for the needs of the pellet extrusion hardware. For example, numerous heat-zones can now be directly controlled from the ODIN slicer. This allows the user to have precise control of the barrel temperatures with ease.
Calibrated Materials
One of the most difficult issues with 3D Printing is having calibrated material profiles. Our relationship with Mitsubishi Chemical Group allows us to have the best FGF pellets on the market with material profiles calibrated by the Filament Innovations Team.
Offline Use
ODIN does not need an internet connection to run. The program can be installed locally on any Windows based computer. This is extremely helpful for companies who need to run software offline for security reasons.
Continuous Improvements
As new materials come to market, in both Filament and Pellet form, profile updates will be pushed to ensure it's users they have the best print settings available. The Create It Real slicing engine runs on proprietary algorithms that are constantly being improved to give users the best experience and results possible.
